District of Columbia Bill 541: Green Housing Coordination Amendment Act of 2025

District of Columbia · 2025-2026 Regular Session

What it does

As introduced, Bill 26-541 would establish energy efficiency and electrification requirements for new construction projects receiving assistance from the Housing Production Trust Fund. It would require periodic reporting on the development of universal net zero energy building code regulations that will apply to residential and mixed-use construction. It would also limit certain net zero energy compliance provisions and add a requirement for adding renewable energy systems when half of more of a rooftop is being replaced for residential projects.
