The Act directs the CJC to study the effect of types of sentences on community safety. The Act directs the CJC to provide the results of the study to the legislature. (Flesch Readability Score: 62.8). Requires the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission to study the effect of different types of sentences on community safety. Directs the commission to submit findings to the interim committees of the Legislative Assembly related to the judiciary no later than September 15, 2027. Sunsets on January 2, 2028.
