What it does

The purpose of this bill is to legalize the personal use and possession of cannabis by adults in the state. The bill provides for a county option election to allow for the manufacture and sale of cannabis on a county-by-county basis; provides for regulation by the Bureau for Public Health; authorizes excise and local sales taxes on cannabis transactions; prohibits underage use; and preserves the ability of employers and property owners to prohibit or limit use or possession.
