West Virginia Senate Bill 67: Relating to public charter schools

What it does

The purpose of this bill is to allow authorization and funding of alternative high-risk population public charter schools; provide eligibility requirements to be an alternative high-risk population public charter school; specify which students are included as "high risk"; require West Virginia Board of Education rule setting forth requirements for alternative high-risk population charter school funding; allow an institution of higher education to apply to an authorizer to establish virtual or on-campus public charter microschools; allow any public charter school to partner with learning pods and microschools to provide instruction to those learning pods and microschools; and make other changes to the public charter school law.
